Student Apprenticeships
Student Apprenticeships
Ms. Lindsay’s Creative Workshops may offer a limited number of student apprenticeship opportunities for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in creative workshops, theater, recreation, inclusive or community-based experiences.
Apprenticeships are designed around learning by doing. Depending on the experience, an apprentice might learn about planning and preparing activities, adapting activities for different participants, organizing supplies, assisting with theater rehearsals and productions, facilitating social and creative experiences, or helping prepare and lead a Gather & Grow workshop.
Each apprenticeship is connected to a specific workshop or production and includes defined responsibilities, guidance, and opportunities to learn alongside me and other experienced assistants.
The goal of an apprenticeship is to provide a meaningful learning experience—not simply an extra pair of hands.
Depending on the student's school or organization's requirements, apprenticeship hours may be eligible to count toward service, community-engagement, practicum, or other experiential-learning hours. Students are responsible for confirming eligibility with their school or organization, and I am happy to provide documentation of completed hours when appropriate.
Students may also include their apprenticeship experience on résumés, college or scholarship applications, job applications, and portfolios. After successful completion of an apprenticeship, I am happy to serve as a reference and, when appropriate, provide a letter of recommendation based on the student's actual work and experience.
The apprenticeships listed below are simply the opportunities I am currently seeking to fill. Students are also welcome to propose an apprenticeship.
If you are interested in theater, recreation, culinary activities, special education, community programming, event planning, creative arts—or have another skill or area you would like to explore—reach out! If your interests and skills can be meaningfully connected to an upcoming Ms. Lindsay’s workshop or production, we may be able to design an apprenticeship around that experience.
Email me at mslindsaydover@gmail.com and tell me a little about yourself, what you're interested in learning, and any particular skills or experience you would like to bring to Ms. Lindsay’s.
Please also let me know if you are hoping to fulfill specific service, school, practicum, or experiential-learning requirements so we can determine whether the opportunity would be a good fit.
